Hi Everyone,

This coming Sept I will be taking part in a physical endurance challenge. It is the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge. It involves a round trip including the 3 highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. 12 hours is the target. It is an extremely challenging walk with the 3 peaks Penyghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m).  

We are raising money for a charity called Andrea’s gift. This is a Yorkshire-based charity for brain tumour research and support. We are hoping to walk as a group of 30 and providing each person receives £25-£75 in sponsorship money, we would reach well over £1000. The treatment and prognosis for a malignant brain tumour has remained the same for the last 40 years. Andrea’s gift, based in Leeds, aims to raise funds to support specific and dedicated research projects into the treatment and cure of child and adult brain tumours, and to ensure that all research is written up for publication and communicated with other charities and research organisations.
