Great Glen Way Walk · 24 March 2009

First Touch supports sick and premature babies cared for at St George’s neonatal unit in SW London. We fund state-of-the-art equipment and specialist staff training which are outside of the scope of NHS budgets, as well as a range of initiatives to support families during their stay on the unit.

Story

A group of nurses, friends and parents of neonatal graduates will be walking the 'Great Glen walk' from Fort William to Inverness on 23rd May to 26th May - it is a distance of 72.5 miles.

The group include Rachel & Dan Pidcock, Alison & Mike Smith, Bethany & Chris Spray, Jo Pidcock, Hazel Warrington, Richard Beresford, Dave Arnold, Anthony Sewell, John Sims,Veronica Sim, Mary Goggin, Angela Hudson, Theresa Alexander, Lorna Barracks, Doris Jackman.

We are aiming to raise £5000 for the Neonatal Unit. The money will be used for the welfare of parents and families, to purchase equipment for the unit and specialist staff training. The walk will also be beneficial to some participants who are aiming to lose a few pounds on the way!
