I started the page stating:

"A make up free selfie might raise awareness but doesnt raise money needed to carry on the lifesaving work and research that Cancer Research do in trying to beat cancer sooner."

I have to take that back after seeing the amount of people and money who did donate one the 'selfie craze' caught on.

I do however stand by the fact that us ladies got off lightly with 1 photo when the blokes went a whole month! So here's my answer :)

I'm a lady of my word so here's to No 'May'k Up!

I also didn't have a target to start with and was overwhelmed with how quickly £50 was raised. So I've set a target of £100 and would truly be delighted if me simply not wearing make up for 31 days can encourage people to donate to a good cause.

 

Hopefully next year more people will join me with the rules below...

Movember was a success... the lads had to look like numpties for a whole month... why should the ladies get away with 1 selfie?!

 

So the rules:

Firstly, you get nominated and you have 2 choices...

Option 1: Create your own No "May"k Up fundraising page and go make up free for the month of May.

Option 2: Make a donation to my just giving page to actually raise MONEY as well as awareness in order to help beat cancer.

Secondly, you make your own nominations and they get the same 2 simple options... and so it continues.

If you've decided not to create your own justgiving page, copy and paste the link to my page in your status to make it easier for friends to donate too.

Even if my page raises a grand total of £10 between now and May 31st, I will have raised £10 more than if I'd simply shared a make up free picture on facebook... plus my skin will probably thank me for letting it breath for a whole month! 

 

So many women were prepared to raise awareness with a photo, I'm curious to see how few will be prepared to join me and raise money by going just 31 days without make up!
