Digital Detox for my Bar Mitzvah · 3 December 2017

Supporting over 1,400 family members of seriously ill children, Camp Simcha is more than just a charity, we are here 24/7 to be a family of support for families of children with over 50 different medical conditions.

Story

My name is Noah Namdar and I am about to become Bar Mitzvah. In the run up I have decided to set myself a challenge to raise money for a charity close to my heart. Camp Simcha is an amazing charity that helps children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. I realise how lucky I am and want to try to help those children less fortunate than me.

As you all know my phone, X-Box and computer are surgically attached to my body. So rather than run a marathon or climb the Himalayas I decided to do something no other 13 year old has ever done before... a DIGITAL DETOX i.e. voluntarily abstaining from using any gadget or screen for 48 hours. A team of medics is at the ready for any eventuality as this is unchartered territory.

I will be using this time to do Mitzvot such as visiting the sick and helping in an old age home.

Please give generously to this worthy cause. Thank you so much.
