Whittington Babies supports families of sick and premature babies at Whittington Hospital since 1986. The charity provides medical equipment and support facilities for the neonatal intensive care unit, as well as a parent support group by parents whose babies have been on the unit in the past.

Story

My son Charlie was born three months premature, after a week he was moved to the Whittington hospital where he would spend the next three months being cared for, before we finally brought him home in early March.

The care and support we recieved at the Whittington Hospital was second to none, from the Doctors, Nurses and fellow parents who were also going through the same ordeal or in the case of the Whittington Babies Charity, parents who had been there and could offer words of comfort and hope.

Charlie is now 16 months old and is doing really well.

So now I feel it is my turn to give something back, and so myself and four friends, Richard Jackson, Ian Smith, Ian Stephens and Robin Pope have decide to follow in the footsteps of the Pilgrims of old and walk the North Downs Way, from Farnham to the white cliffs of Dover, a route of 125 miles which we aim to complete in 5 days.
