The Four Day Expedition to Norway · 6 February 2018

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

On 11th March Steve, Christian, Iain and Piers are taking part in IGO’s N60° - The Norwegian Challenge is a four day expedition, beginning in the snowy town of Hemsedal, near where the SAS do their winter training.

The first day is spent ski touring, summiting two of the areas highest peaks. The following two days will be spent cross country skiing, covering approximately 30km each day, before the final marathon-length hike through the forests. Each night the team will camp in the heart of the wilderness in traditional Norwegian tipi tents, and eat
freeze-dried expedition rations throughout.

We are raising money for Place2Be which is a national charity providing emotional support to children in schools. They currently support 282 schools nationwide providing access to therapeutic and emotional support in schools, using a proven model backed up by research
and training.
