On Friday 18th February, Outwood Academy Newbold are hosting a bake sale and 'Rainbow Day' to raise money for Derbyshire LGBT+. This is a local charity who support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their family/friends in our area.

Students from our school helped organise this event to celebrate LGBT History Month and to collect money for a charity which is close to our hearts - not just in proximity, but because we are striving to be a school where all LGBTQ+ students and members of our community feel safe and included.
