Helen and Obrie are doing a Marathon

Berlin Marathon 2015 · 27 September 2015 ·
So on one of our weekend runs through the park we decided that it would be a good idea to do a marathon! And because of my (Obrie) natural athleticism we decided that Berlin, known for being the flattest marathon in the world, would be the best choice - because if I can’t run the whole marathon it will be much easier for Helen to roll me across the finish line.
On to serious business, this is a massive challenge for both of us, a marathon!?!?! What were we thinking!!! Because we are doing this massive challenge, we decided that we could not do it without supporting a charity that's important to both of us: Shelter.
Shelter is needed today more than ever. 1.8 million people in England are currently on local authority housing waiting lists. A shocking 1.6 million children in the UK are homeless or live in bad housing – many in temporary accommodation that’s run-down, overcrowded or dangerous. And every two minutes someone faces losing their home.
We feel that everyone should have a home to go to and if we can help just a little by running the marathon, it will make all the pain, suffering and time it has taken to train and then run the actual marathon worth while.
Please support us and sponsor our run every little bit will help make someone’s life just that bit better.
Love
Helen and Obrie
