Story

Hello fellow athletes!?

On October 11th 2009 I will be running my first half marathon around London's Royal Parks...sounds like a day out..come and join us all in Hyde Park, St James's Park or watch from the London Eye?!

I would like to inform you that the training has so far been very gruelling with plenty of muscle tweaks, a few strains, wobbly knobbly knees and lots of chafing!!  If the thought of a very tall chap plodding along for over 13 miles whilst you read the Sunday papers and enjoy your breakfast is one that amuses you, and you would like me to keep going, then please please please help me reach my charity's target!

I am running for The Rainbow Trust Childrens Charity (look to your left, below the gorilla etc!), an organisation that provides invaluable support to families with very very sick children, helping them to do the everyday things that we take for granted.  They really do need your support so please be as generous as you can.  It will only take a few seconds of your time to donate.

To find out more about the charity and it's fantastic work please go to www.rainbowtrust.org.uk .

Every single donation will spur me on and will be very much appreciated.  Remember you can give anonamously if you wish, or you can post a message on my fundraising page?

My mum will be reading the messages so keep it clean and say hello to her too if you like!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now, the sooner the better.

Many thanks in advance for your time and for your kind generosity,

Peter Thresher
