My mother in law was diagnosed about 5 years ago with Parkinson’s. We have all at times felt helpless as she navigates her journey with the disease. For now she is well and trying all she can to stay positive and healthy. This cruel disease that affects so many needs as much support and research as possible. 

Its an honour to be able to raise whatever I can for Parkinson's UK and help to share awareness of the condition. Seems like an obvious and small task when comparing it to the day to day challenges those affected by PD face. In July last year, my father in-law suddenly passed away from Covid. My wonderful brave strong mother in law is now living alone without him by her side and facing her PD journey without him.

I want to run this years London Marathon as a gesture to my mother in law, but also as support to all those living day to day with Parkinson’s Disease.
