Story
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to look at this page and a massive thank you to anyone who has put money forward to support me on this new adventure.
On 2nd April 2017, a dear family friend died after a short but exhausting battle with Ovarian Cancer. Lisa was a remarkable and inspirational woman who is hugely missed by her amazing family, her friends and her netballing colleagues.
A massive motivation for me when I run (15km in and wishing it would start hailing so I can go home and eat some chocolate) is remembering the very beginning of Lisa’s netballing journey and her shouting at us to keep going and not give up. She certainly didn’t, and in her quest to make netball accessible to all ages, she created a sea of black and red through her self made Berkshire netballing community.
So I run for Lisa Wise and the legacy she’s created and to raise as much awareness for Ovarian Cancer as I can. Please follow the links at the bottom for more information about Ovarian Cancer.
