London to Paris 2010 · 3 September 2010
Hello!
This September 3rd, we'll be embarking on our second annual to bike ride. 75 of us will be cycling for 4 days, and covering a distance of approximately 280 miles.
The annual event is in its tenth and final year, and as such, we're hoping to raise the bar in sponsorship and funding, with a target of £140,000. We have had consistent and fantastic support since the beginning, and hopefully, the ride will finish on a high, having raised in total, £500,000 for Great Ormand Street Hospital Children's Charity.
Most of us have heard of and seen the great work the charity undertakes. The hospital itself is at the forefront of children's healthcare and along with it's partner, the UCL Institute of Child Health, it is the largest centre for research into childhood illnesses outside of .
The riders and L Rowland & Co (Retail) Ltd (Rowlands Pharmacy) put in a huge amount of work, providing support, food and accomodation during the ride, (as well as pedaling our way to ), and we appreciate any help our sponsors can provide.
I understand that many of you, like myself, are students, and therefore can't give as much and as often as we might like to good causes. Having said this, if on your next night out you could skip a Vodka and Redbull, and donate that money to GOSHCC it would be very much appreciated by the riders and of course the charity. Your liver may thank you also.
