Who are we & what we're doing
We are five Motorcycle Police Officers from London and a Wife!!
We have decided to park up our motorbikes, get out of our leathers and put on some lycra shorts and are going to cycle from Lands End on the 11th October 2010 to Heathow Airport which is approximately 350 miles and we aim to do it in 5 days arriving in time to wave off the Dreaflight trip of 2010.
Who are Dreamflight & What do they do
Every year, Dreamflight charters a Boeing 747 to take 192 seriously ill & disabled children between the ages of 8-14 on a 10 day holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida visiting various theme parks and having a fantastic time. Dreamflight believes it's important to bring some fun and joy into the lives of children whose illnesses have brought them pain, distress & disruption.
I have been on the past two Dreamflight trips (Mickey Mouse group) and seen first hand how the trip can bring so much joy into the lives of the children and they come back so much more positive. What other child can boast that they have been on holiday with 191 friends!!!! Thats what Dreamflight is about and exactly what it sets out to achieve which is why the trip is so so important and would not take place without the generosity of heart felt people. I have now been invited back for my third year as an escort and I will make it my priority to give the children a holiday they will never forget, even if it does mean dying my hair and wearing make up!!!!!!!
