I am proud to tell you all that I will be running the Virgin London Marathon on April 13th 2014 with my training partner Donna (and Mo!) as part of Capital radio's Help a Capital Child. We have been training since December, and despite a major setback, Donna and her shin splints, she is back stronger than before and we are both raring to go! It hasn't been easy, running six days a week (including Christmas day), juggling family and work, but last Sunday we ran 20 miles, which felt like a major achievement and was definitely an emotional moment!

We chose the charity 'Help a Capital Child' because of the amazing work they do for children and teenagers suffering from cancer. Your donations will be much appreciated. 

20,000 UK families have been told their child will die before them.

6 teenagers are diagnosed with cancer everyday.

- £10 will buy a DVD for a child to watch whilst undergoing chemotherapy.

-£35 will buy a video game which will help a cancer patient feel like a normal teenager. 

-£100 will fund parents to sleep next to their child in hospital.

Your support and donations will be very much appreciated by both the charity and me personally.

6 days to go,we completed our last training run yesterday of 10 miles,all that remains now is carb loading(the fun bit!) rest and trying to stay calm!!
It's not too late to sponsor us ,every donation made,no matter what amount ,will make a huge difference to these children's lives.

Well we did it,bit slower than we hoped but the weather
although great for the spectators was hard for us runners. 4 hours 39 minutes ,great run for us,we didn't have to stop at all and still managed to chat and laugh our way through!

There is still time to send your donations, we really want to hit our target and give this fantastic charity as much as we can....
