Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I'm pushing myself to run the longest races I've yet attempted. I recently completed the South Downs Way 50 mile run in 9 hours 17 minutes, and the Thames Path 100 mile (160km) run in just under 27 hours after a particularly miserable, rain-soaked second 50 miles in the dark.
This weekend, I'll be competing in the Uto Swimrun in Sweden, which covers 37km of the Stockholm archipelago, running over rugged islands and swimming in the Baltic Sea between them. So in the space of three months, I'll hopefully have covered 173 miles (278km) in race conditions (and many more in training).
I've chosen this year to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research (LLR), a UK-based charity which has done amazing work over the last 50 years to help prevent people dying of blood cancer, and to help improve the lives of patients battling it.
My neighbour's daughter is one such individual - she has been bravely fighting it for more than a year, and her success to date would not have been possible without the advances made thanks to charities like LLR.
Any contribution you could spare would be much appreciated.
