Fundraising for Addenbrookes Neonatal Intensive Care Unit · 7 August 2015

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.

Story

Hi Everyone!

We are raising money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. Our daughter Evie was born prematurely at 26 weeks, 14 weeks early on the 2nd of May 2015 weighing just 710 grams or 1.5 lbs. She is a little fighter and is doing well although we are taking each day as it comes.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and staff at the Rosie are truly amazing and we feel very blessed to have such a wonderful hospital so close to us, especially when we are meeting parents who are traveling from all over East Anglia and beyond to use this hospital / unit.
Myself and Andy have decided to do some fund raising for the unit as our way of giving something back, which will hopefully help other babies and parents like us in the future.

As you can imagine the equipment is state of the art and very expensive (see the pictures). Evie has benefited from this equipment and our aim is to try and raise as much money as possible between now and when our little Evie was due which was the 7th of August.
If you have children, grandchildren, friends with children or even great grandchildren, we would very much appreciate a small donation to help babies born in our area in the future.

Over the next few months we are participating in and running various fundraising events. Please feel free to sponsor us to reach our fundraising goal.

Thank you for your support,

Laura, Andy and Evie x
