Oxford Sleep Out 2011 · 19 November 2011

Homeless Oxfordshire provides an open door for people whose lives have been shaped by trauma and disadvantage; offering safety, stability and support when it is needed most.

Story

Oxford Sleep Out is THE annual sponsored event to help the homeless in Oxford.  It is held during the wettest and darkest time of the year (November 19th) in St Clements Churchyard off Marston Road.  Over a hundred people are due to "sleep rough" for the night, to raise money for homeless people.   The money raised is split between all the participating organisations - Simon House, Lucy Faithfull House, Oxford Homeless Pathways, Emmaus, Gatehouse, Steppin' Stone, Elmore Community Services.............and spent directly on items that will benefit the homeless people we work with.  Please encourage your friends to dig deep into their pockets to donate to this very worthy cause.  In previous years we have raised over £16,000 in total.  Donating on-line through Justgiving is the easiest way to get your contribution to us.
