Katie's fundraiser for Cancer Research UK

100 Days of Exercise · 24 April 2023
It's time for me to do something. Cancer is a bastard and I feel more than a little helpless.
I've made the decision to exercise every day for 100 days to raise money for Cancer Research. And just to add insult to hopefully no physical injury, I'll blog about it and try and make you laugh.
For some this challenge wouldn't be much of an issue, but I'm starting pretty much from ground zero. Perimenopause (I know tiny violin) has made me fatigued, lethargic and low. What with that and every other excuse under the sun (dark nights, cold wet weather, being busy (I'm really not)) I've not done regular physical exercise for a looong time.
But armed with sticky square patches on my hip I feel like I now have just about enough energy to start a fitness journey at last - which isn't a sentence I would have written a few weeks ago.
So come with me (metaphorically or actually) on a journey of activity. Whether it's Couch to 5k (for the four billionth time), actually doing the workout's I pay for on Davina's app, taming our unruly garden, remembering how to swim, or doing any other activity that anyone can think of, I'll be busy and knackered for 100 days and hopefully raise some money in the process
