Story
On June 21st, the longest day! Ali Williams – Assistant PGA Professional at Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club – will be leading a huge golfing endurance challenge, joined by Chris Nicholls, Rob Parker and James Snell, all former members of the club and all proud to call this area home.
Together, we’ll attempt to complete 100 holes of golf in a single day, starting at sunrise and playing continuously through to sunset at Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club. Over the course of the day, we’ll walk around 35 miles — more than a marathon — while playing every shot along the way.
We are raising money for the club’s 2026/27 charity, the League of Friends of Musgrove Park Hospital — a cause that means a great deal to all four of us.
We have all grown up locally, and throughout our lives we and our families have personally benefited from the incredible care and support provided by Musgrove Park Hospital. The League of Friends plays a vital role in enhancing patient care, funding essential equipment, and supporting families and staff at times when it matters most.
This challenge is our way of giving something back to a hospital and a charity that have been there for our community — and for us — over many years.
With Ali leading the way as PGA assistant professional and club member, and the rest of us returning as past members, this will be a true test of physical endurance, mental resilience, and commitment to a cause we genuinely care about.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help the League of Friends continue their amazing work. Thank you so much for supporting us — and for supporting Musgrove Park Hospital.
