Story

It’s devastating to see the aftermath of the Nepal floods, but also mind blowing to see the images of elephants saving humans and animals. Please can you help and donate to our fundraiser to help the poor victims of the Nepal flooding.

The challenge:

It’s a mega swim!!!

Connor and Cal will swim 1,000 lengths each - this is 15km each. A 10km swim is the equivalent of running a marathon apparently, so a 15km swim is like a marathon and a half each! This will be pretty much a whole day of swimming so please donate, no matter how small - it all goes to a very worthy cause. If elephants can help then so should we.

The Nepal Flood Disaster:

Thousands of people including children are missing, many are dead and communities have been devastated after sudden flash floods struck Nepal's Rasuwa district, as well as parts of Tibet.

Families have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods in a matter of hours. Many people have been forced from their homes and are facing an uncertain future as search and rescue efforts continue. With communications disrupted, the full scale of the disaster is still emerging and the number of people affected is expected to rise.

The best and quickest way to help support those affected by the Nepal floods and other emergencies around the world, is to donate to our Disaster Fund today. We are already supporting the response to the devastating flash floods in Nepal via the Disaster Fund and working with the Nepal Red Cross Society on the ground to determine what further support is required and how we can help.

Donations to our Disaster Fund are used wherever and whenever they are needed.
