Story
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. More than ever people need the help of the RNLI but too many people are still drowning.
With your support this can change. I have decided to undertake this endurance challenge, a 100km (60 mile) loop around the Cowal Penisula starting and finishing at Tighnabruaich RNLI station to help raise the life-saving money that keeps the RNLI going.Click here to watch a flythrough video of the route: https://youtube.com/shorts/0h2-sagh9RQ?si=hYGxtTUTG3slFhoT
As an avid long-distance runner I am familar with ultra-marathon distances but I have never reached a mileage this high. What better way to push myself to new limits than in support of a charity who's volunteers do this every day on their countless life-saving missions.
Tighnabruaich lifeboat station is crewed by volunteers, who provide a 24 hour search and rescue service. They rely on the support of their local communities to power their lifesaving service. Your support will help the running of lifeboat stations like Tighnabruaich and, ultimately, help to save lives.
This page will be continually updated until the event on the 13th of June 2026 with media and info regarding the challenge.
