Story
Last year my Mum passed away from skin cancer that had spread throughout her body. When all treatment options had been exhausted my Mum was sent home to die.
This is when the staff from Rowcroft stepped in. They coordinated her care. Provided assistance and support with an Occupational Therapist and were always on hand to organise appointments and give advice.
When my Mum was finally admitted to Torbay Hospital, where she passed away, they supported me as well.
Two of the first people to call me the day Mum died were the staff from Rowcroft.
Before this experience I had no idea just how much work Rowcroft do in the community to help people with life limiting illness.
They did not help my Mum die, they enabled her to live a full life while she was dying. And I will always be grateful for the support they gave our family.
