I am raising money in memory of my gorgeous mam who we sadly lost to suicide back November 14th 2024. Leaving behind myself, my older brother Matty and my dad Carl.

Suicide has changed our lives in more ways I can possibly explain. We never ever thought it could affect us, until it did. Before all us of this our life was a paradise, or at least she made it feel that way, it’s in explainable how much we all love and miss her. We just wish she would come home.

My mam struggled with mental health before taking her own life, she was a proud, incredibly smart and beautiful woman, she had a loving family and a fantastic home and everyone around her loved her immensely. And yet mental health still took over and she still took her own life.

That’s why charities like Tyneside Women’s Health are so important. Tyneside women’s health is a local charity that is currently supporting over 600 women in local communities with centres in Gateshead and Byker. These centres are a safe place for women to go to when they need help with their mental health.
