Running for Lewis: Raising Funds for 2 Wish

In memory of my late brother-in-law, Lewis Morgan, who was tragically taken from us in 2020, I am raising funds for the incredible charity, 2 Wish.

About 2 Wish

2 Wish is a charity dedicated to providing support for families who have lost a child or young person suddenly and unexpectedly. Their mission is to ensure that every family receives the help they need during the most challenging times, offering immediate and ongoing assistance to parents, siblings, and extended family members. They provide emotional and practical support, helping families navigate their grief and start the journey towards healing.

My Challenge

Since Lewis passed away, I’ve wanted to do something epic in his memory, and this feels fitting. Starting in November, I will be running the Lake Maggiore Marathon, marking the beginning of my quest for Lewis. Each month thereafter, I will run a marathon, culminating with my own route in and around Carmarthen in November next year.

The marathons will include a mix of trails, races, unorganised and even some ultras! Some of the key races I plan to participate in are the Manchester Marathon, Lake Maggiore Marathons, among others. Here is the tentative schedule:

- **Dec 24** - Welsh Coastal Path, Kidwelly to Llanelli and back // Dec 8th 2025

- **Jan 25** - Taffs Trail - Cardiff Bay to Castell Coch and back // Jan 4th 2025

- **Feb 25** - Church Stretton Icing on the cake marathon // Feb 2nd

- **Mar 25** - Pendine to Carmarthen // March 2nd

- **Apr 25** - Manchester Marathon // April 27th

- **May 25** - Tumble to Mumbles Cycle Path // May 17th

- **Jun 25** - Welsh Marathon LCW Tenby // 29th June

- **Jul 25** - Fishguard to St Davids // July 26th

- **Aug 25** - BACKYARD ULTRA 100 Miles 6.4km On the Hour Every hour for 24 hours (Carmarthen) // August 23rd

- **Sep 25** - Welsh Coastal Path Manorbier to Pendine // Sept 20th

- **Oct 25** - Chester Marathon // October 5th

- **Nov 25** - Tribute to Lewis, Route in and around Carmarthen. Starting and Ending with Lewis 💙 // Nov 8th

The idea with the local races is to get support runners and other marathon preparers to join in. Additional routes will be added as we progress.

Why I’m Running

Losing a loved one is always hard, but losing Lewis devastated our family. He was the best of us: the brightest star, the funniest young man, and the best brother-in-law anyone could ask for. Through this challenge, I want to honor his memory and raise as much money as possible for Lewis and 2 Wish.
