Story
1430 Miles. Six Nations. One Minis Section. One Journey.
This year, the Gainsborough RUFC Minis/Juniors are taking on a challenge bigger than anything they’ve ever done before — and probably bigger than anything their parents expected when they signed them up.
We’re completing 1430 miles of rowing, running and riding — the full combined distance between all Six Nations stadiums — to raise money for the incredible charity Sophie’s Journey.
Our route (in true Six Nations order):
1 - Italy — Stadio Olimpico
2 - France — Stade de France
3 - England — Twickenham
4 - Wales — Principality Stadium
5 - Ireland — Aviva Stadium
6 - Scotland — Murrayfield
We may not be travelling to each stadium in person, but our Minis and Juniors are covering every mile with heart, determination, and the kind of enthusiasm only children can generate at 9am on a Saturday.
Why we’re doing it?
Sophie’s Journey supports families facing childhood cancer, offering holidays, respite, and precious memories during unimaginably difficult times. They are a charity rooted in compassion, community, and hope — values that match everything we try to teach our young players.
How we’re completing the miles?
Across the Minis age groups, our young players will be:
- Rowing
- Running laps
- Riding bikes, scooters, and anything with wheels that counts
All on the 14th of march at West Lindsey Leisure Centre
Every mile is earned. Every mile is celebrated. Every mile helps a family who needs it.
How you can help?
Your donation will:
- Support families affected by childhood cancer
- Fund holidays and respite breaks
- Help Sophie’s Journey continue their vital work
Whether you donate, share the page, or cheer the Minis & Juniors on, you’re part of this journey with us.
Little legs. Big hearts. Huge impact.
Let’s complete the Six Nations mileage — and raise something incredible for Sophie’s Journey.
