We are a group of friends fundraising for Medical Aid for Palestinians. Over the next 4 weeks we are each going to be travelling 150km - a tribute to a challenge run by this charity earlier in the year . We're really excited to be doing our bit, and to have your support. We've been motivated to take this challenge on by our amazing friend, Hana.

Her story: 'My mother, Sana, was a 14-year-old schoolgirl playing with her friends in school when IDF soldiers suddenly stormed in, shooting at the entire class. She survived despite being shot in her lower back but many others did not. This tragic event occurred 42 years ago, and similar haunting stories continue to unfold to this day.'

'My grandmother passed away due to hypothermia and starvation in Rafah in February, and my uncle was killed in an airstrike in March. It has been a challenging time as we try to support our surviving family members through this ongoing conflict, and now we need your help.'

Over the next month, Hana, Tom, Randa, Lana, Will, Kassia, Riwa, Sarah and Alizeh will each be covering the distance from Gaza to the south of Lebanon in honour of those who have been killed and to support those still surviving. We will be keeping you updated with our progress on the stream below, and all proceeds will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians .

Despite dangers of the situation, MAP’s team is continuing to deliver medical supplies and healthcare services in Gaza and in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. In Gaza they have established medical points and emergency teams as almost all hospitals have been destroyed. Moreover, they have given out over $7.2 million worth of medical and humanitarian aid. Please know that any donation will directly go towards saving a life, and that no amount is too small.
