My fundraiser for Children’s Health Foundation

Dublin City Marathon 2023 · 29 October 2023 ·
Each and every day across CHI hospitals and urgent care centres in Connolly, Crumlin, Tallaght and Temple Street, sick children and their worried parents are coming through the doors in need of world-class paediatric care and treatment. Your support helps fund essential, urgent and life-saving work by raising the funds needed and makes a real and lasting difference in the lives of sick children.
Our little boy Éanna was born in January 2022 and soon after birth, Éanna was rushed to Crumlin where he was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries. He underwent surgery , an arterial switch, when he was just 3 days old. Éanna made an amazing recovery and spent only 12 days in hospital.for the first few months we attended Crumlin regularly and now Éanna just has annual check ups.
Since his surgery, we’ve never looked back. Today he’s a happy , cheeky and energetic 20 month old. From the moment Éanna was admitted to Crumlin, as worried and anxious as we were, we knew he was in the best possible care and hands. Everyone from the surgeons, nurses, to staff in parent’s accommodation were always so kind, so caring and professional too. This is why I am running the Dublin City Marathon this year. All donations, no matter how small will mean so much.
Thank you. Caroline and Éanna x
Your donation support wards, theatres, departments and Intensive Care Units right across CHI - from funding patient and family supports like play, music and pet therapy to making it possible to buy state-of-the-art medical equipment, as well as funding new services and redeveloping facilities to supporting ground-breaking paediatric research.
Thank you for helping create a child-centred, home-from-home environment for patients in hospital and for ensuring that children continue to have access to the very best facilities, services and equipment when they need it most. This is the power of your support.
