Due to the increase of our overheads and the government not paying our true hourly rate for their “free” funded hours for 3 and 4 year olds we are finding it difficult to provide those "wow" activities. These are hands on experiences and activities that go beyond our normal daily activities but have a huge impact on children’s learning and development.

We want to provide the children with a living eggs experience in March. This is a 2 week event where we will be delivered chicken eggs in an incubator. The children watch the eggs hatch in the first few days, then help us look after the chicks. They learn how to care for them and how to hold them. This experience is fantastic at helping all children learn to use their gentle hands and having a real life event really brings the learning to life. It enhances children's language development and creates memories which last forever.
