My fundraiser for Forces Children Scotland

Edinburgh Marathon Festival · 24 May 2025 to 25 May 2025 ·
Hey all.
Soooooo I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon for a good charity - Forces Children Scotland.
Before I go into more detail about the Charity, here is a bit about myself. I joined the British Army in October 1999 and graduated from the Infantry Training Centre. Upon completion I was posted to my Battalion in 2000. I soon climbed the ranks and reach Colour Serjeant. During my service I have completed several operational tours to Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Nigeria. After 23 years it was time for me to spend more time with my family.
I chosen Forces Children Scotland as my charity for fundraising after I read what they do to help our armed forces present and past, in areas where needed.
Now about the - Forces Children Scotland.
They help over 13,000 children and young people from serving and veteran families across Scotland to overcome unique challenges to mental health and wellbeing, education and learning as well as so much more.
They provide life-changing experiences which help children and young people to forge new friendships, learn and apply new skills as well as grow in confidence.
They listen and respond to children and young people who require financial support and we help young carers as well as young people gaining qualifications at university and college.
It would be grateful if you could spare a wee bit of change and put a wee donation down please.
Thank you for your support
Wesley
