Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Bigg House JustGiving page.

The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK was founded by Caroline Ballinger whose daughter was diagnosed with IBC in 2011. At the time of her daughter’s diagnosis it quickly became clear that there was no IBC-specific support, information or research in the UK.

We are grateful for any donations you can give, no matter how big or small. Not only will you be raising money that the IBC Network vitally need, but you’ll also be raising awareness of this little-known, aggressive form of breast cancer.

About the charity

Inflammatory Breast Cancer is a rare and highly fatal type of breast cancer which can present as reddened skin and dimpling (the ‘orange peel’ appearance) rather than a lump. It cannot be detected until it is at a late stage and sadly has often spread by the time of diagnosis. The IBC Network UK provides vital information to the public and medical professionals, supports affected individuals and their families and funds research into the disease and its treatment. https://ibcnetworkuk.org/donate/
