Memory Walk 2024
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
Who will you walk for? This year thousands of people will feel it all and walk for everyone affected by dementia. By taking part in Memory Walk, you will be providing help and hope to everyone living with dementia now and in the future.

Story

Our wonderful Dad and husband Pat was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2017. It has been a tremendous struggle for him and us as a family especially our Mum who cares for him with so much love and patience. We are grateful Dad is still with us and want to do this walk in his honour and in honour of all of the sufferers of this cruel disease.

As we prepare for the Surrey Memory Walk on September 14, 2024, we are reminded of the staggering impact of dementia in the UK. Every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with this relentless condition, and with no cure in sight, the urgency to confront this challenge has never been greater. With over 900,000 individuals across the UK currently living with dementia, it is our collective responsibility to advocate for change and provide essential day-to-day support. By participating in or supporting our Memory Walk 2024 fundraiser, you are directly contributing to this vital cause. Your donation will go a long way in funding Alzheimer's Society's efforts to combat dementia and provide crucial support to those affected. Let's walk together for a future without dementia. #MemoryWalk
