Victoria Park Half Marathon · 10 November 2024

We support the Atkinson Morley Wing at St George’s Hospital London who treat brain diseases and disorders. We aim to raise much needed funds to support the advancement of treatment and research and to purchase equipment for paediatric and adult neurosurgery not available through the NHS.

Story

Hi everyone,

On 10th November I am running the Victoria Park half marathon and will be raising money for an incredible cause.

Project21forlife was set up in March 2022 by The Sullivan family, after Richard Sullivan’s diagnosis of a brain tumour, to fundraise for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation.

Funds raised will go towards purchasing a Stealth Autoguide Robotics Guidance Platform, which will benefit over 1,000 adult and paediatric neurosurgical patients each year at St George’s Hospital in Tooting. This vital piece of equipment, which can’t be funded by the NHS, will enable surgeons to perform more accurate positioning of implants tailored to each patient’s anatomy, resulting in both shorter surgical times and reduced radiation exposure. This will mean patient and surgeon safety will be improved, and there will be greater surgical success.

I will be fundraising in memory of Richard Sullivan, father of my close friend, who sadly passed away in March 2024.

All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Harriet xx
