Story

In memory of Eileen, we are offering the option to donate to a cause close to her heart, for those who would prefer this instead of sending flowers. This charity, the Irish Chaplaincy Seniors Project, provided Eileen with meaningful support and a connection to her homeland.

Though Eileen was always surrounded by family, she took great joy in receiving personalized, handwritten cards from local children for Easter, her birthday, and Christmas, as well as newsletters and books on Irish culture throughout the year.

The Irish Chaplaincy Seniors Project also offers vital assistance to elderly Irish individuals who may not have a support network. If you would like to learn more about their work, their mission is as follows (excerpt from their website):

• Reduce loneliness experienced by older Irish people, many without any family.

• Support Irish seniors to access services they need and advocate on their behalf.

• Reconnect older people with their local communities in London and any family in Ireland.

• Offer practical, emotional and spiritual support, regardless of their religious background.

A donation box will also be placed at the church to collect cash donations.
