Over the past couple of years, cancer has played a far bigger part in our lives than either of us could ever have anticipated. We have both had parents that have had to deal with cancer and Jim’s own cancer diagnosis in summer 2022 turned our lives upside down. Thankfully, in all of these cases, through excellent care, all three are recovering and embracing life as cancer survivors.

When going through these difficult times, the support offered to us and our family by the Macmillan team was incredible and we wanted to do something to pay them back for what they did for us. As a result, we are both cycling from London to Paris this summer to raise money for Macmillan.

Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
