On October 5th 2025, my brother and I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon in support of our 82 year old Mum, who is currently suffering with terminal bowel cancer. Throughout her illness her strength and positivity have never wavered, and I’m convinced that given half the chance she’d be running with us if she could! Along the 13.1 miles we will be raising money for Bowel Cancer UK, the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.

Bowel Cancer UK funds targeted research, provides expert information and support to patients and their families, educates the public and professionals about the disease and campaigns for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. Their mission is to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
