Story

Thanks for supporting my fundraising. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs.

That's why Macmillan will do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK get the support they need right now and transform cancer care for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.

When I was diagnosed 'de novo' straight to stage 4 breast cancer I was in a total state of shock. The nurses at the end of the Macmillan help line were brilliant at calming me down and explaining things that I'd not taken in when the news was broken to me! The Macmillan publications also enabled me to read and understand about different treatments I might be facing. In the future a bed in a Macmillan unit attached to the hospital or a Macmillan nurse at home may be needed, as they have for many others.
