Story
We at 1874 Northwich Walking Football are organising a 10 hour walking football challenge on Wednesday 29th April 2026.
The key purpose of the event is to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK & raise awareness of this challenging condition.
The event will take place at the Cheshire FA HQ at Moss Farm starting at 7am & will involve various members of our men’s & women’s sections alongside other invited local clubs. The goal being to play continuous walking football for 10 hours.
To date, the event has been supported brilliantly by club members, family & friends. Together with a fantastically generous donation from THOR Group, the global chemical specialists, with their head office in Northwich.
The earlier you find prostate cancer, the easier it is to treat. But most men with early prostate cancer don’t have symptoms.
Remember 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. If you’re over 50, if you’re Black, or if your dad or brother had it, you’re at even higher risk.
By raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, you’re helping fund lifesaving research, provide essential support services, and raise vital awareness of prostate cancer.
