Story
My name is Anna Denham and these are my two Miniature Schnauzers, Ronnie and Wilfie.
This year is a milestone birthday (too many decades to mention here!) and I wanted to do something special to mark the event.
I have been a long time supporter of Schnauzerfest the charity raises money to pay for the veterinary care needed by dogs saved from puppy farms & other bad backgrounds. Schnauzerfest funds restore the eyesight of dogs blinded by cataracts, as well as paying for other treatment. Supporting Schnauzerfest means vital rescue work is supported and dogs lives are transformed.
My early support used to be taking part in the charity walks, however my advancing years is preventing me from doing this. I do wish however to carry on supporting the charity, whatever way I can. I have therefore decided to do a birthday fundraiser by abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. My son and six grandchildren are all doing it with me. This is taking place on Sunday, the 24th of May. 4 of us are going over the top at 2 o’clock, followed by the other 4 at 3 o’clock.
If you live near the location, it would be wonderful to see you and have your support. There will be a big Schnauzerfest presence on the day - as will be evident by the sea of orange!
If you feel able to donate an amount to this page, no matter how small, I and the charity would be most grateful. I thank you in advance for your generosity.
