Story
Scottish Water colleagues and friends will take part in the second annual "Tap-to-Tap Challenge" on 20th September 2025.
Scottish Water has installed over 130 "Top-Up Taps" in public places across Scotland, where people can top up their reusable water bottles with clean, fresh drinking water, saving on plastic waste.
We are aiming to visit as many Top-Up Taps across the country as possible in one day, by means of sustainable transport including walking, running, cycling, scooting or skating.
Sadly many people across the world suffer from poor hygiene because they don't have access to clean, fresh drinking water, or to toilets. Without these, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives.
WaterAid is an international non-profit organisation that works to make clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere. They achieve this by working with local communities, governments, and other partners to implement sustainable solutions and advocate for policies that ensure access to these basic necessities.
All money raised in the 2025 Tap-to-Tap Challenge will go directly to WaterAid.
