2026: The Big Year of Challenge

Welcome to the Saint Michael's Hospice 2026 London Marathon team page!

Story

2026...

Celebrating my 40th by being bold and brave in a series of pretty tough challenges!

2026 also marks 30 years since losing my Dad...

So what's on the list (so far!):

- London marathon

- Total Warrior

- Ironman (full distance)

- Great North Run; let's go get a PB!

- Hyrox; fingers crossed for an entry

- Saharan desert trek

- Slaley Hall trail half marathon; my arch nemesis!!

"The heart surrenders everything to the moment. The mind judges and holds back."

Please, whether you can donate, cheers at start/finish lines, help at events, champion me when it's tough, laugh with me, remember with me... I need it all. Please give what you can.

My dad's final days were spent peacefully in a calm, friendly & warm place. Saint Michael's Hospice will always be a place incredibly close to my heart for its support to both patients & families - it provided me with ways to cope with lifelong grief & the ability to celebrate life and live it while you have.

About Saint Michael's Hospice

Saint Michael’s is the local hospice care charity ensuring people affected by terminal illness across the Harrogate district can access high quality, personalised care. We do this by offering a range of services from our Hornbeam Park-based hospice, and out in the community in people’s own homes, as well as reaching out regionally and nationally. We are also passionate about working in partnership to enable others to offer hospice-standard care. We believe everyone should get care that is personalised and responsive to their individual needs.
