I created our charity with the help of the judge who jailed me. Between us we have a unique understanding of what it takes to break the cycle of addiction and re-offending that harms our society. We provide men leaving rehab a place to call home and a caring community designed to aid recovery.

Story

After spending most of my adult life battling addiction, a life of crime and yo-yoing in and out of prison, I didn’t think my life would ever change. However, I am proud to say I am now living a clean life and doing lots of challenges to raise money for some great causes. I am a member of a fundraising team called Abingdon Extreme Fundraisers, the gift of giving and we are pleased to be collaborating with Hope and Vision Communities to complete this charity, 21 peaks in 2 days.

The work Hope and Vision Communities do is inspiring and something I am passionate about, as I once experienced the ups and downs of addiction and recovery.

It is great to have the opportunity to work with Tony, the CEO of Hope and Vision Communities, our lives crossed paths many times in prison. As it also did with Judge Peter Ross, who sentenced me to prison. Judge Peter Ross is now the Chairman for Hope and Vision Communities, and it is a pleasure to now be working with him to help such a great cause. This is a true example of how people can turn their lives around and hats off to Judge Peter Ross who is truly helping the prisoners who are a part of this rehabilitation programme to have a better future.

Thank you for your support.
