Story
22nd November, I’m taking on a 24-hour running challenge to raise awareness and funds for Andy’s Man Club — a charity that provides vital support for men struggling with their mental health.
For 24 hours straight, I’m going to be running 5k on the hour every hour, from Strength Shack Carlisle, to represent the mental battles so many men face every single day. Because sometimes, the hardest race isn’t the one on the road — it’s the one in your head.
Exercise and mental health are deeply connected. Running has been a powerful outlet for me — a way to clear my mind, manage stress, and find focus when things feel heavy. Research shows that regular movement can ease anxiety, lift mood, and build resilience — but having someone to talk to can make the biggest difference of all.
That’s where Andy’s Man Club steps in: creating safe spaces across the UK where men can open up, talk, and realise that it’s okay to not be okay.
Every mile I run is for the men who are fighting in silence — and for the conversations that can save lives.
Your donation will go directly to Andy’s Man Club, helping them continue their incredible work breaking the stigma around men’s mental health.
