Story
The 6th Annual 24 Hour Stream for MNDA will be very special as this year there, I have asked a few of my streamer friends to join in with the fundraising and so in the week leading up to the 24 hour stream there will also be some charity streams by them. Thanks to them and their online communities for the support.
This is a cause I strongly believe in due my family's personal experience of losing a my Nan to MND back in 2014. Last year we also lost my Grandad who cared for my Nan throughout her battle with MND. Nothing can prepare you for seeing this disease take hold of someone you love. I don't have many talents and I'm not the most athletic, but this endurance challenge of not sleeping for an entire 24 hours gets harder every year, especially now I'm in my mid-30's. I also want use it as an opportunity to raise awareness not only of the disease but the work that MND Association do. This work not only includes supporting those who suffer with MND and funding research, it also includes offering support to families that have to adjust to living with somebody with a disease that they know will ultimately lead to them losing a loved one.
I hope you can join me at some point over the 24 hours where I will try my very best to be entertaining and deprive myself of sleep. One thing you will certainly witness is my mediocre gaming ability get worse and worse as the hours add up. All I ask in return is that you give what you can so we can continue to help the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.
