24HRS of Endurance for Men's Mental Health · 25 November 2023

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

For Men’s Mental Health month this year, we are organising our biggest challenge to date: on Saturday 25th November, our team is collectively completing 24hrs of endurance for CALM. For too long, men’s mental health has been covered by shame, masked by societal expectations that men should always be strong and stoic. As military veterans, we know this stigma all too well. Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under the age of 45, and too many of our friends have suffered in silence. It’s time to bring Men’s Mental Health out of the shadows and come together in supporting each other. Together, let's build a world where no man suffers in silence. Get yourself booked in and we look forward to cheering you on!

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.

From advice on our site, through to free, confidential chats with our helpline staff, online or on the phone, we’re here for whoever needs us, every day. No matter what.

£8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
