Emily Crane is raising money for Brain & Spine Foundation
In memory of Nana

Climbing Mount Snowdon · 25 April 2026

The Brain and Spine Foundation transforms the daily reality of people affected by any neurological condition, anywhere in the UK, through frontline professional services, innovative social research, and bold campaigning for change.

Story

On 25 April 2026, Emily, Issy, Joel and Charlie will be climbing Mount Snowdon in memory of our lovely Nana, who sadly passed away in 2023 due to a spinal stroke. ❤️

We’re taking on this challenge to raise money for the Spine and Brain Foundation, a charity very close to our hearts. Spinal strokes are rare, accounting for just 1.25% of all strokes, and we want to help raise awareness and funds for the incredible work this charity does.

Anyone who knows us will understand that this kind of thing is absolutely not our cup of tea, but here we are, swapping our slippers for hiking boots and taking on Wales’ tallest mountain for a cause that means a great deal to us. Really, it only felt right to climb Snowdon since Nana was proudly Welsh!

As for the climb itself… well, we’ve heard it could be -12°C at the top (we’re choosing to ignore that information for morale reasons). If the weather’s rubbish – which let’s face it, it’s Wales – we’ll still be climbing with smiles on our faces, knowing it’s all for a brilliant cause and in memory of someone we love dearly.

Follow along as we ‘train’ (walk around local hills and complain about blisters) in the lead-up to the day. We’ll share updates, photos and probably a few moans along the way.

Thank you so much for supporting us and for helping us honour Nana. Here’s to making memories, raising money and hoping our questionable training plan gets us to the top 🏔️😂
