Spencer Ellis is raising money for Youth Sport Trust

26 running events and 2026km in 2026

Youth Sport Trust is the UK’s leading children’s charity improving education and development through PE, sport and play. We equip educators and empower young people with inclusive programmes, practical tools and community support to help every child thrive.

Story

I believe we need to invest in the future. And we do so by investing in young people.

I grew up feeling different, excluded, and not at all confident.

But in adulthood, I found running and sports, and from that, my confidence has increased, my wellbeing has improved, and I've been able to find a community of like-minded individuals.

Movement and sport gave me something I never had as a young person - that's why I'm doing this challenge and raising money for Youth Sport Trust, so that young people across the UK get to experience the benefits of sport and play much sooner than I did.

This is about investing in the future by investing in young people.

Youth Sport Trust's programmes and initiatives support inclusion, wellbeing, and focus on reaching young people in under-served communities - which in turn helps young people feel more confident, happier, resilient, and included.

Sport and play drive human connection - helping young people build friendships, empathy, and understanding.

This isn't just about investing in physcial education.

It's about investing in young people, their futures, and the future of the UK.

It's about giving these young people the opporuntity to have a positive relationship with movement, confidence in themselves, and the chance to reach their full potential.

It's not just about sport. It's about wellbeing, inclusion, and investing in a happier, healthier generation.
