Story
An inactive, overweight, in the closet kid. That's who I was.
But at the age of 23, I laced up a pair of trainers and stepped outside for a 5-minute run that would change my life.
That 5-minute run has progressed to half marathons, marathons, and even an ultra marathon in the French Alps.
Activity, sport and movement - especially running - have had a major impact on my life in recent years, from my physical and mental health, to my confidence and self-development.
So in 2026, I'm taking part in 26 events across the UK - ranging from 10ks to marathons - and running a total of 2026 km to fundraise for Youth Sport Trust.
Your donation will go towards providing young people with the opportunity to improve their school engagement and help build their resilience, confidence, and general well-being, whilst providing them with a safe space and a sense of belonging.
This is done by the donations being distributed across school-based sports programmes, mental health initiatives, inclusion projects, and funding the equipment and coaching.
So please donate today to help Youth Sport Trust, and also follow along the journey by following me on Instagram (@spencer.e) where I will be updating the progress regularly.
