28 Wild Swims in 300 Days for Julian House

28 Wild Swims in 300 Days · 13 February 2026
My 300 Challenge for Julian House will see me take on 28 Wild Swims across Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire and Bristol (with a few in Wales). In the next 300 days I will visit 28 Wild Swimming locations, set out in "Wild Swimming Walks" by Georgie Duckworth.
My aim is to do as many as possible in the warmer months, before winter kicks in and this challenge becomes so much harder, with river temperatures dipping to below 10 degrees.
I will be walking to each location as detailed in the maps throughout the book, with my dog Shadow and my family and friends who may join me along the way.
My first swim (#8. Slaughterford) was completed on Saturday 19th April, with my last swim on Friday 13th February 2026 (brrrr!). Why 300 days? I'm fundraising for Julian House, who have life saving services along a 300 mile route through the South West of England.
I work as a fundraiser for Julian House. We support vulnerable and at-risk individuals across the South-West. These include adults & young people experiencing homelessness, those escaping domestic abuse, adults with learning difficulties, people who need support after leaving prison & long-term unemployed.
We provide over 85,000 bed nights across all of our services, supporting over 2,000 vulnerable people with over 50 different projects including our homeless outreach services and the 20-bed emergency access hostel in Bath.
Please donate to my "29 Wild Swim Challenge" and your money will not just change lives, but save lives.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
