Why are we holding a fundraising event?

We are purchasing a set of paddleboards so children from all sections can experience this accessible sport and enjoy spending some fun time on the water (or in!).

This year also sees 2nd Ulverston mark our centenary year – yes that’s right – 100 years of Scouting in Ulverston!

What does the event involve?

Our sections have taken on the challenge of climbing the Hoad as many times as you can via our flagged route (1k/70m height gain). We are aiming to cover the distance over the Irish Sea from Ulverston to the Isle of Man, then Belfast and back - some 500k collectively, in two hours.
