Story

2 Old Men, 2 Old bikes, 2 Long Weeks

Nicola Riley had discussed with her parents setting up a charity to help children going through the difficulties of coping with cancer, particularly children who were unable to travel long distances. This discussion took place in Florida 2004 where she enjoyed swimming with dolphins but was concerned about some of the friends she left at Alder Hey who were too ill to travel. Nicola lost her fight 5 days before her 15th birthday; when she passed away she left written instructions to use the money in her savings account to be used to start the charity. Her parents Debbie & Steve Riley decided to fulfill her wishes and invited some close friends who were close to Nicola to join forces.

Pete Shaw and Eddie Culshaw are Cycling a staggering 1,062 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats and completing it in just 2 weeks starting on the 27th May, this Lengthy feat will prove beyond challenging but not as much as life is for those Families Nicola’s Fund supports.

Nicola's Fund is a small charity that Eddie’s Daughter Anna had the opportunity to be a part of; Their aim is "To improve the quality of life for Children with Cancer". Anna was one of the first to benefit from this charity by being given the opportunity to go to Centre Parks with her Family Eddie, Sian, Anna & Joe time needed away from harsh realities and spend quality time together. Today the charity still sends families to Centre Parks and other holiday resorts in the UK.

Please, please dig deep into your pockets and give us what you can.
