Story
Why?
The team consisting of Jeremy Noblett, Amy Steadman, Jake Turner, Maksim Kosogorin, and Sacha Kosogorin are raising money for the Edward Dee Fund which contributes towards Meningitis Research.
Edward was an enthusiastic member of the 8th Lytham Cub Scout Group and we all quickly became friends. Like many children that age, we were full of energy and enjoyed the active nature that Cubs encouraged. Edward took that energy one step further, as he was a passionate runner and swimmer. He had entered several triathlons and was a fit and healthy lad. We were looking forward to Christmas in December 2016 when Edward suddenly fell ill and the same day lost his life to meningitis and sepsis.
It is the “spirit of Edward” which has helped us all to remain active throughout the years. This has inspired us to take on the Three Peak Challenge in 24 hours, not just for ourselves, but #forEdward. This challenge is fully self-funded, so all money raised on this page will go directly to the Edward Dee Fund- helping keep Edwards memory alive while raising money for the much needed research on meningitis.
At the summit of each mountain, we will leave a stone for Edward- a small tribute that symbolically brings him with us to the top of each of the three peaks.
